Our objective is simple, but bold: to raise awareness of the diverse interest in our community, to inspire and motivate youth to take their education seriously, strive for healthy bodies and minds, become involved in community service activities, set personal goals, visualize their dreams, and take responsibility for their own lives and neighborhoods, and far most, to promote greater participation in international dialogue and exchange and, by doing so, to strengthen the Youth Community Empowerment movement locally, nationally and internationally.

Why we work

Over the past 15 years, the AZAR board members have served and done exceptional jobs at volunteering their time with various projects: literacy, feeding young children and families, developing teen abstinence programs, combating homelessness, hosting missions, social services, ministry, education, and most recently piloting a diverse range of projects and programs that involve computers, community empowerment, opportunity and economic growth. These projects have yielded a high impact on the low-income, high risk environments in Dallas and surrounding communities.
